Pricing evidence clarified for Synthesia and HeyGen
Previously
Synthesia appeared as a single $1.40 subscription calculation. HeyGen appeared as $0.80 per finished minute with the label ‘Entry plan (user reported).’
Now
Synthesia now displays the $1.40–$2.20 range produced by conflicting figures on its own pricing page. HeyGen is not cost-ranked because the test record does not identify the workflow, credits consumed, or account charge.
Why: The prior HeyGen label did not distinguish subscription amortization from observed test usage. Synthesia's checkout-linked price card and FAQ publish different annual totals.

Unsupported InVideo scores withdrawn
Previously
InVideo AI appeared with a 4/10 visual score, an estimated cost, and an overall Explainer Index rank even though the tested output and project usage record were not preserved.
Now
InVideo remains in the recorded generation-time comparison, but its visual, cost, and overall scores are withheld. Its evidence page separates InVideo AI Agent from InVideo Studio and identifies every missing artifact.
Why: A visual score cannot be independently checked without the output, and a test cost cannot be recovered from unrelated subscription arithmetic.

Now
HeyGen is ranked at $0.80 per prompted minute using published Creator annual-plan amortization. Synthesia uses the more conservative $2.20 FAQ calculation. Both remain labeled as subscription arithmetic rather than observed test charges.
Why: The benchmark now applies a consistent documented-subscription fallback when direct usage evidence is unavailable and keeps the cost basis visible.
